Virginia state Tour

This year is going to be an entertaining and fun-filled one as I have recently joined my school’s riding team and based on what I saw on the school’s riding calendar, I am sure I will enjoy every event that is lined up.

In our school, circling is an important aspect of our extracurricular activities and the school greatly invests in the sport and encourages many students to embrace it. Since I joined the cycling team, I have participated in a couple of events this year and many more are in the pipeline in the remaining part of the year.  Our school, which is situated in western Virginia, never misses out of any Virginian high school cycling event.

This year the Virginia High School Mountain Bike Series has already organized three events, with the last one having taken place recently on May 10th at Harrisonburg. These events also provide a platform for participants to form new friendships.

It does not matter whether you are an experienced mountain biker or novices as these events are a good way to start your mountain-cycling experience and for those already into mountain biking, it is a worthwhile undertaking.

Every Saturday, we have a field day for cyclists in our school; a day where students get the chance to show what they have been up to the whole week. A typical day starts with a 50-mile road race before giving way to a small chat about safety measures and good riding tips.

This summer, the school has organized a cycling marathon. The rides are set to cover a combined 4000 miles within the state. The trails will pass through the state’s major attractions.  In anticipation of this event, I am looking for anyone having a specialized crosstrail for sale at an affordable price. Apart from the cycling experience, the marathon is set to help students learn more about the state of Virginia.
